01 / THE NEED
In Takun’Ala, a community in Maikunkele, the few existing wells cannot meet local demand. Families go back to the river for drinking and cooking water, even though animals use it too.
Residents contacted Elite Star Foundation after earlier attempts to secure a borehole fell through. A local water point would give families a safer option closer to home and reduce their reliance on the river.
02 / THE PROJECT

Assess groundwater conditions and consult residents on an accessible location.
Drill the borehole, fit the pump and prepare a collection point for daily use.
Check the water quality and agree with local residents on who will look after the borehole.

Contributions go toward the proposed community borehole, from site assessment and drilling to pump installation and water-quality checks. The fundraising target is US$10,000.
